I love to create fiber art pieces using fabric, stitching and pigments. I created my first traditional quilt around 2003, but quickly gravitated toward art quilting. After learning that I could “get outside the box” I started experimenting with pigments of all kinds. Each piece I create is my personal challenge to try something new, delighting in the mix of different kinds of fabrics and pigments in my work.

I am an art-technique explorer and patchwork enthusiast, loving and embracing the challenge of capturing the spirit of my subjects in my work. My greatest joy, however, is helping others gain confidence in developing their own creative voice. There are so many art quilting approaches and techniques that can be tailored to fit each of our own creative journeys. I love helping others learn of the diversity, complexity, and addictiveness of using fabric, pigments, and stitching to create a statement in their art.

My Workshop

Looking for ways to use all your little scraps of fabric you don’t want to throw away? Confetti/Collage is a fun technique to use fabrics, threads and other embellishment items in interesting ways. This workshop is designed to introduce you to the technique. You will create a fun flower motif that can be used as a pin or embellishment. Fair warning? This technique can be addictive!
