Monika Henry is a modern quilter and pattern designer originally from Switzerland, but now based near Ottawa, Canada. She designs colourful, modern, and often somewhat minimalist quilt patterns under the name Penny Spool Quilts. Monika takes a relaxed approach to quilt making, getting inspiration from everyday items. Her patterns are designed with beginner to intermediate quilters in mind, to pass on the joy of quilt making and to inspire quilting confidence, one piece at a time.
When she’s not in her studio or busy with family life, she can usually be found puttering around the garden or sitting somewhere cozy with a cup of tea and a good book.
