I was a professional ballet dancer before I transitioned to the visual arts. I have shown my work nationally and internationally in many shows. Also, I specialize in creating custom textile art for home or business. I really enjoy the custom design process, and working in a client-focused way, emphasizing communication and follow-up with both client and designer during the whole process. My work has been purchased for private collections and for the Duke School of Nursing in Durham, NC. Some of my inspiration comes from many sources: botanicals, landscapes, Italy, water, and galaxies. Sensual color, lines, and textures are a common thread.

Currently, I teach fiber arts online virtually and in person. I have also taught at the prestigious Houston International Quilt Festival. In 2015, I appeared on Quilting Arts TV and wrote for numerous quilting arts publications. My work has appeared in several books on art quilting, such as Art Quilts International, Abstract & Geometric, and Patchwork Professional Feb. 2024.

My Workshop

In the Just Peachy textile painting workshop, I will be teaching you how to use textile paint, and Inktense pencils to create a still life of peaches in a bowl good enough to eat! You will learn how to create highlights and shadows easily to make your 2 dimensional peaches look 3 dimensional.
